Calling: Christopher Locke. Rick Levine. Doc Searls. David Weinberger.
To C. Locke. I think it is pretty -neat- what you are saying with your friends (if you still have any after writing the Gonzo Marketing book)in The Cluetrain Manifesto.
However, isn't it a bit ironic that on the back cover
cover of the book includes a quote from one of the top Korporate guru of gurus? "You mus read The Cluetrain Manifesto. So: read it, inhale it. If it pisses you off...GREAT" Tom Peters.
I got into this mess about the same time you did except that I was just a bit younger and more naive. Boy did my company miss a chance of a lifetime the day they told me to tell thank the foreigner for showing me his that modem thing that let you "type back and forth" between offices and that my boss would call him. That was sometime back in the late 80s. I got hell for wasting my time that day.
